  • Joint Cardholder
    • Can I add my partner or spouse to my account?

      To add a joint account holder to your account the joint applicant will need to complete the following form:

      The Joint applicant will also need to provide a copy a Bank Statement or Utility Bill in the joint applicants name and of one of the following forms of identification:

      • NZ Passport
      • Australian Passport
      • Current NZ Photo Drivers Licence (Version 5B must be supplied) New NZ Licences
      • Foreign Passport with NZ permanent residency stamp

      Once this has been completed please sign the form and send it to:

    • How do I get a joint account?

    • How do I get an additional card sent?

      Please phone our Customer Service centre on 0800 10 11 70 to request an additional card holder to be added to your account. Additional card holders must be over 18 years of age.  An additional card fee of $7 applies for each additional card issued.

    • How many additional Cardholders can I have on my account?

      There is no limit on the number of additional cardholders that you may have on your account.

    • What can an additional cardholder do?

      Additional cardholders are permitted to shop using the credit facility.

      Additional cardholders are not responsible for the balance on the account, and are therefore not permitted to access or alter account information.

      Additional cardholders may notify Farmers Finance if their card becomes lost or stolen to have it cancelled, however a replacement card can only be issued at the Primary or Joint account holder’s request.

    • What can a joint cardholder do?

      A Joint cardholder has the same entitlements to the account as the Primary cardholder, including applying for a credit limit increase, updating contact details, making purchases and other account maintenance. The Primary and Joint cardholders share responsibility for any balance on the account.

      Both Primary and Joint account holders can set up additional cardholders on the account.

      For a Joint cardholder to be removed from the account, or to close an account, consent must be provided by both the Primary and Joint cardholder. The Primary cardholder cannot be removed from the account.

    • How do I remove the joint account holder from my account?

      Please phone our Customer Service centre on 0800 10 11 70 to request a form to remove the Joint cardholder from the account. This must be completed and signed by both the Primary and Joint cardholders.

    • Can I add someone to my account?

      To add a joint account holder to your account the joint applicant will need to complete the following form:

    • How do I remove an additional cardholder from my account?

      Please phone our Customer Service centre on 0800 10 11 70 to remove an additional cardholder from your account. This can be requested by either the Primary or Joint cardholder and is actioned over the phone.

  • Change of ownership
    • Can I give my account to someone else?

      Only Fixed Instalment purchases can have ownership changed to another customer’s name.

      The balance of your Farmers Finance Card account can be transferred to that of another customer provided written authorisation is received from both parties.

    • My name has changed – how do I update this on my account?

      A Change of Name form needs to be completed and returned to the following address:
