What if I want to cancel my Card?

 

Cancellation under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act

The Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 provides you with a limited right to cancel your Farmers Finance Card Account.  Strict time limits apply. You are entitled to cancel your Farmers Card Account by giving written notice to us within:


  • 5 working days after you receive the Disclosure Statement by hand; or
  • 7 working days after the Disclosure Statement is sent to you by electronic means (for example, by email); or
  • 9 working days after the Disclosure Statement is sent to you by post.

Cancellation under the Farmers Finance Card Terms and Conditions

If you are outside the statutory cancellation period under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003, you are still able to cancel your Farmers Finance Card Account.

You can cancel your Farmers Finance Card at any time by calling us on 0800 10 11 70 or writing to us and returning your Farmers Finance Card to us. If you cancel your Farmers Finance Card you will still be liable for all transactions made up until that time in accordance with the Farmers Finance Card Terms and Conditions and your outstanding balance will immediately become due and payable.
